Performance, Media and Audience
Performance, media and audience is an intensive course on communication from the perspective of cultural history. It focuses on the interaction between performers, media and audiences in the past (1400-2000), with particular emphasis on theory and methodology. The central question is: 'How do performers and media transfer ideas and values, and how do publics consume them?' This challenging research seminar demands the utmost from its participants, who will be able to hone their intellectual and critical abilities and fully develop their research potential.
